Middle Crete, 10 km eastern from Herakleion.
www.culture.gr: The Minoan Villa of the Lilies was most probably built in the Middle Minoan IIIA period (-1700/-1600); villa was destroyed by fire in the -1500/-1400, but complexes C and E continued to be inhabited until the -1200/-1100. The site is mentioned as a-mi-mi-so in the Linear B tablets. |
